Ms. Sills has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University with emphasis in Finance and Operations. She has broad management experience and has over 25 years experience managing projects and project teams.
She is an active leader in the largest women’s organization in the world (The Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) promoting social and emotional strength, education, literacy and physical health. She is a merit badge counselor with the Boy Scouts of America and assists with rank advancement and merit badge compliance in the area of Athletics, Sports, Personal Fitness and Personal Management.
She has coached women and young women in softball, volleyball and basketball and played competitively in softball and basketball. JoEllen developed and directed a fitness program for her teammates as they traveled weekly to Little Rock, Arkansas for a major technology firm.
Personal fitness is a way of life for JoEllen. She has been actively involved in a personal fitness program throughout her life. She is passionate about fitness and actively participates in weight training, cycling, and aerobic fitness classes. She has taught classes on fitness and the importance of healthy food choices. She is AAFA certified as a group fitness instructor, as well as a kick-boxing instructor.
Martha grew up in rural Texas. She has always been active in Sports including softball, volleyball and basketball. She has an Associate’s in Science.
Martha began taking the Focus 4 Fitness classes when the Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center opened (2007). Her passion for fitness grew. She began teaching classes weekly in 2014 for Focus4Fitness. She enjoys creating fitness routines that have cardio, strength training and core work. She is also a Spin Class instructor. It is important to Martha that she provides a challenging yet manageable workout.
Family is a big part of her life. She has five (5) children and four (4) grandchildren. Weekends are filled with numerous activities. Martha enjoys all types of fitness including running, biking, and hiking. She has participated in several Sprint Triathlons, Bike Rallies, and Running events. She is currently training for her first Half Marathon.
Martha is a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano where she plays handbells in the Bells of St. Andrew. She volunteers often at Minnie’s Food Pantry.
